MOMO announced today the launch of the Heritage 6 road wheel, which features a design deeply rooted in MOMO’s first light alloy wheels that revolutionized motorsports in the 1970’s and could be found on MOMO race cars throughout the 80’s and ’90s.
Retaining the flat six spoke face of the original MOMO competition wheel, the Heritage 6 has been revised to accommodate modern brakes and is made using revolutionary dual-way flow forming technology; making the wheel lighter and stronger. Through a unique combination of heat, pressure and rotation, dual-way flow forming creates a rim area with similar strength and impact ratings to forged wheels with a 15% weight reduction over alloy wheels.
Henrique Cisneros, Chairman of MOMO Automotive Group, commented: “The Heritage 6 revives an important aspect of our competition history, bringing it to the modern enthusiast. It also blends cutting edge engineering and manufacturing with the traditions of our storied brand.”
The Heritage 6 is available in 17” and 18” diameters with widths ranging from 8-12”, the Heritage 6 will be offered in custom offsets and bolt patterns ranging between 5×100 and 5×130 for aggressive, motorsports fitments. The Heritage 6 is available in custom finishes; including matte or gloss black, matte or gloss gunmetal, matte bronze, matte race gold, gloss white, MOMO red and heavy metallic silver.
“Whether its revolutionizing the steering wheel or alloy wheel markets, MOMO has always been at the forefront of the changing motorsports and aftermarket industries,” said Vince Wong, Vice President of Lifestyle Performance Group, “now MOMO is one of the first brands to use dual-way flow forming technology while offering a custom wheel to automotive and motorsports enthusiasts.”
First announced at SEMA 2017, the MOMO Heritage 6 road wheels are now available of MOMO dealers nationwide. For more details about the MOMO Heritage 6, please visit momousanew.wpengine.com.
